Where longing lives, love grows

When my heart feels tired and sore,

I remind myself: I’ve loved once more.

The warmth I seek is not just hers,

It lives in me, in quiet words.

Her smile has shown what love can be,

A gentle spark that woke in me.

Though not returned, it still is true,

That love has made my spirit new.

So when the longing starts to stay,

I breathe, I rest, I find my way.

For love will come, as love does do,

And one day, it will stay, feel new.
