When my heart feels tired and sore, I remind myself: I’ve loved once more. The warmth I seek is not just hers, It lives in me, in quiet words. Her smile has shown what love can be, A gentle spark that woke in me. Though not returned, it still is true, That love has made my spirit new. So when the longing starts to stay, I breathe, I rest, I find my way. For love will come, as love does do, And one day, it will stay, feel new.
